I just received my Sony MSB1 Bluetooth Memory Stick from shop.brando.com.hk, but it doesn't seem to be working.
Here's what happened:
I installed the software provided by the CD-ROM to my Clie, and reset my Clie as directed.
According to the directions, when you plug the Bluetooth Memory stick into the slot, the blue light should turn on, and the Device Address number should show up on the "Bluetooth" menu in "Preferences".
However, the light didn't turn on, and the device address number didn't show up either.
I thought it might be my programs' fault, since I have several Hack-Softs installed in my Clie.
Just in case, I hard-reset the Clie erasing all the data, and then tried installing the Bluetooth programs in my Clie again.
But the light still didn't turn on, and couldn't get my Bluetooth Memory Stick to work.
However, just now the light turned on and the device address number showed up when I was pulling the Bluetooth Memory stick in and out of the slot, and soft-resetting the Clie for like 20 times.
I clicked on the button to search for my Bluetooth enabeled phone device (Ericsson T68), but it wasn't able to find it.
I tried searching for my Clie through my T68, but couldn't find the locate the device either.
I am thinking that maybe the Bluetooth Memory stick was damaged during shipping.
I believe the Bluetooth Memory stick's blue indicator should be kept on even while Hot Sync, but mine turns off. And it doesn't turn back on after Hot Sync. To turn it back on, I have to (1) pull the stick out of the slot, (2) soft-reset, (3) put it back in, and repeat the steps 1 to 3 until it turns on (I usually have to do this like 10 to 20 times).
Also, I figured that the blue indicator light will never turn on, if I turn on my Clie with the Bluetooth Memory Stick in the slot from the beginning.
Does anyone else have this problem, or is it just me?
I'm pretty sure that it's not my configuration or setting problem.
By the way, my NR70V is in Japanese, so installing the Japanese software from Bluetooth Memory Stick shouldn't be the problem.
And yes, I'm Japanese.
I hope I can get this thing to work......
