Hi Everyone,

I had to do a complete back up from my Palm back up card as I accidentally trashed some data.

Now every time I power up (turn on) my M-130 I get a "Fatal Alert" window that has the message "Fatal Exception" and tells me to reset.

The reset goes OK and the Desk Top works, but again when I power up I get that Fatal Alert window every time.

Yikes....PLEASE HELP...hope someone has an easy answer to this one as I do not want to think of reinstalling everything from scratch.

TIA

Try a hard reset. If this doesn't work, I'd recommend an e-mail to Palm Tech Support. They're not the greatest, but maybe they'll help your cause.

Hi Jacob,

Thanks for the reply.

I tried everything I could think of and finally had no choice but to do a hard reset and I lost everything.

So, am getting some good typing practice in for a good number of days in the future!

As a side note....After I got everything going I discovered I could not HotSync. It would only work one or two times out of a great number of attempts. Tried everthing I could think of with no luck.

Then I sat back thinking this has to be a USB problem...could it be the cradle? I happened to have another cradle my wife uses on her M-125. Tried it and the unit hotsync'ed every time. I then noted that one of the pins was bent out of the line of other pins. Those pins sure seem to bend way to easy. Have had that happen before.

Could not get it bent back properly, called Palm Support and they are sending me a replacement cradle.

Cheers!
