MP3 Volume

Ive read here that the volume on the 71 is low.....i just wanna know how LOW is LOW coz im some "punk ass kid" and i like my music LOUD and i need to know if its loud enough to play in my "behind the head" sony speakers...NOT earbuds.


so....is it loud enough ???

Loud/Soft is completely subjective.

Go down to your local PDA store and give it a try.

Purchase headphones that come w/ an adjustable volume.

I sampled the Zire 71 @ Best Buy and the sound volume was okay for me.

It is very loud (compared to a Sony NR-70) when played through the speaker.

you can give up on Zire71 playback volume...i am kinda someone who would tune up my discman volume to 7.5 to 8...so if i am a good gauge for you...zire mp3 volume really is pathetic...unless you want to put it thru another external speaker....

Palm Zire71 plays good quality and sound (though not the speaker). I have (3) 256 cards of MP3's and I listen to them alot. I have replaced my primary MP3 player with my Zire due to the same quality via headphones. The speaker on it does suck however.
