I need some help.
I'm new to the world of the PDA's and am trying to decide which unit would work best for me. I'm in car sales and my primary need is to keep track of customers, schedule contacts with them with future reminders, keep track of lot inventory, etc. I have a couple of 64mb SD cards from a digital camera that I no longer have and would like to utilize them, if possible. I don't have a need for games, web access etc. I'm trying to get a unit that will do the job without overkill. I've been considering the m125 or the m500 but would like some input before I buy. I really don't know the capabilities of what's out there, or even the units mentioned, beyond some basic knowledge. Any help or comments would be appreciated.
Thanks,

I have a handspring visor prism(www.handspring.com) which works great. The problem is they dont have built in SD card slots, you'd have to buy a SpringBoard SD card adapter. However there is the Treo 90(http://www.handspring.com/products/treo90/index.jhtml?sub_nav_section=Overview&prod_cat_name=Treo90). I'd would consider both of those.

Otto,
I recommend the 500 over the 125. The quality of the unit is better, read that more durable.
If possible consider the Palm m505. Not simply because it is color but because you can see the screen in poor lighting conditions. In dim light the 125 and 500 can be hard to read.

Take the 500 (or 505 if you can find one). You can keep either in your shirt pocket all the time. The 500 will be easier to read if you are outdoors in the car lot. Both can use SD cards.
Soon you will be looking for an advanced datebook and calendar program for your customer relations, which will make your Palm even more useful. There are also database programs to help with inventory.
The 125 is a bit bulky to carry around all the time and the screen is a bit smaller.

I would definitly recommend getting an m505. It is compatible with your sd cards, color, and just... nicer than the m500.

I would consider the Handspring Treo 90 as well. It is a great form factor in my opinion and has a very nice display.

A m505 or m515 are pretty good. If I were you I'd never even consider a handspring. Thye suck ! palm or sony is the way to go.

I rather useless blanket comment, really. Ive had 3 Palms, my wife has a 515, Ive had 2 Handsprings and bought Visor Edges for several people that work for me. They have all been good, reliable tools from my standpoint. Subtle differences make some better than others for a particular application. Thats one reason the market is so cutthroat. There just isnt a clear winner. I bought a Treo 90 because I wanted something very small and I didnt need MP3 capability or the ability to enter lots of text. My wife wanted lots of flexibility for text entry and business related add ons so I recommended a 515. If I wanted audio I would have gotten an NR70V, but I use an IPAQ3835 for that. Depends on what you want to do.

I think GadgetFreaks right on target.
There is a unit out there to satisfy almost everyone's needs. Perhaps there aren't very many units that suit the desires we all have for smaller, faster, cheaper....or what ever other fantasy.
If you do not do your homework on the available units you will probably not be as happy as you could have been.
For me I want access to large amounts of data in RAM. That data had in the past been stuck on the hard drive of my office PC. Now that history is in my pocket. Thank you Lord! I have no need for music. I can only do one thing at a time. I really don't read books on my Palm beyond keeping four translations of the Bible in my pocket. Well you know what I mean, choose your tools to be well suited to their task!
