Okay, how do I go about installing the OS5 for my TC on the same computer that OS4 for my M130 is residing on? The new Palm Desktop wants to install on top of the older Palm Desktop. A lot of the programs that are on my M130 caused major problems for the new TC. But now that I've installed some new programs on my TC I would really hate to have to do the full reset again.
I even went so far as to uninstall the older Palm desktop from my computer and reinstall it on a different drive (G:/) then tried to install the new Palm desktop onto drive C: but damned if it didn't go directly to drive G: !!! The custom install says that I can choose where to install it but try as I might I couldn't figure out how to change to destination. The destination drive was grayed out.
This situation is going on with my desktop computer. If all else fails I will just have to have the new Palm desktop with OS5 installed on one of my laptops. I ideally wanted it on my desktop though.....

Any suggestions?

TIA

Palm desktop does not install any of the Palm OS on your desktop. You will be fine to install the new desktop over your old one, all the programs for your M130 will be okay. The palm desktop keeps a seperate folder for each handheld device, so they don't interfere with each other. If you have already removed the program, just install the version which came with your TC. As long as you have different user names for each device, you will have no problem.

Yep, that's where I made my mistake. I stupidly used the same name on the new Palm. Now it's too late, I've bought and installed some new software for the new one under that name.
The "loads of trouble" you mentioned.... I've had it! I ended up having to do a full reset after the software from my M130 installed itself onto my TC. I felt like a huge idiot when I realized my error!!
Luckily I have 3 computers so I don't need to suffer the conflict.
