200mhz processor or 150? Garmin's iQue main page states that the processor is 200 and as well on the spec page then if you download the PDF file - it states 150?

Also, doesn't 2nd Quarter 2003 mean by the end of June and now WalMart is stating that the unit will ship July 10th and I've seen various other ship dates from June to the end of July depending upon the site.

I can be sarcastic at times but it would be nice to now the true speed of the processor?

I'm with you, Moose Man, it's all too confusing. However, I tend to go with spec sheets as opposed to PDF's. Spec sheets are generally more accurate since they generally are created by the engineers and are short and to the point, whereas PDF's are generally from marketing or some translation thereof. As for the 2Q03 issue, if other companies (e.g., Microsoft, Palm, and others) provide a clue, 2Q03 could easily mean, ugh, 3Q - LOL. I guess they wanted to give as much wiggle room as possible. It'll be here before we know it - smile. I'm just hoping, when it does, it's all it's cracked up to be.

Capt,

I just hope that someone from Garmin's marketing department monitors this board and realizes the "error" of the cpu speed. I'm willing to wait - no choice - and I believe it will be all that it's cracked up to be. Therefore, the wait will be worth it.

I can't get a GPS as an option in my company car so this will suffice and is much more portable. I'm using a Street Pilot now and it's handy but no voice command and no color.

Waiting is always a pain but inevitable in the tech world. Hopefully the will tweak the unit because of the longer than anticipated delay.

Yes, waiting is a pain, and I agree with you on the strong possibility that our expectations will be met, or exceeded. If this unit lives up to the quality (form, function, & factor) as does Garmin's previous products, the iQue should sing. I've been using their handheld GPS units through several upgrades over several years now. And as I compared them to the competition, there was no competition. So, Palm & Garmin, IMO, should make a wonderful combination.

I love the way you see the silver lining around the dark clouds - lol. To your point, maybe now they will include the 5.2.1 OS when the iQue is finally released.

The glass is always half full even when it's half empty.
