It seems that every time I turn on my Palm I have to recalibrate the digitizer to make it work properly. Any ideas?

This discussion at www.brighthand.com will interest you: http://discussion.brighthand.com/palmhandhelds/showthread.php?threadid=33680 iiicRuled Mokoni 05-28-2003, 10:25 PM Originally posted by nkread It seems that every time I turn on my Palm I have to recalibrate the digitizer to make it work properly. Take a look here: http://discussion.brighthand.com/palmhandhelds/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33304&highlight=digitizer http://discussion.brighthand.com/palmhandhelds/showthread.php?s=&threadid=33680&highlight=digitizer I had the same problem and ended up getting a new TT. There doesn't seem to be a way to fix this problem. Borax Jr 05-29-2003, 03:27 AM I too had suddenly developed problems with my digitizer, and was at a loss as to why UNTIL I read the thread @ Brighthand mentioned in an earlier post here. I never had a problem with mine until I installed the combo patch from PALM, and then it seemed like I had to re-digitize almost every 5 or 10 minutes. So I did a hard reset, and a full restore (minus the patch) to no avail, as the problem persisted. But in the afore-mentioned discussion on Brighthand, someone commented about the "digital ink" used by JOT. It seems that having the graffiti echo enabled was the culprit on my unit. As soon as I turned this 'feature' off, my T was back to normal. Hope this helps..... mmmkay 05-31-2003, 03:51 AM I have Jot and the 'echo' thing on too, but only when I write on the screen. I have no problems with the digitizer though, perhaps because of the update. Using the 'echo' thing while you write on the graffiti area is somewhat counterintuitive since you expect to see something written where you just placed your pen (styli) and not 3cm away! :) PDA Street
