I can't seem to get my iMac to recognize and connect to my Newton 2100. I physically connected them via a Serial to USB connector. I use Newton Connection Utilities and it worked fine years ago before I got this iMac at work. Now I try to connect them and absolutely nothing. I'm not sure what to do? Any ideas?

If you are running OS X 10.2 on your iMac, you might like to try NewtSync (http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=16642&db=mac). I have yet to use it with my G4 as I don't have a serial to USB converter, but my friend uses it with joyful results. In the meantime, I'll stick to using NCU on my PM7200/75.
Hope I've helped.

Do you have the prefs in NCU set properly? You need to tell it which ports to watch. Also, you need to open the Dock package on the Newt to initiate the connection (sorry if you think that's obvious, but you kind of imply that you're just dusting the Newt off for the first time in a while).
