LCD died

The LCD on my 14 month old iPAQ 3650 died. When I called Compaq/HP they said it will cost about $ 200 to replace it. Thats half the cost of the unit NEW !! Do I have any other options here ??

I had used this site to replace a Palm IIIc screen (digitizer) and they shipped it, gave detailed instructions on their site on how to change it, and it worked great. Check their instructions for replacing it on their site first, to see if you feel comfortable doing it. Have since gone to a 3955, and if I would have a problem I would definately try this before I paid $200 to HP. Would cost you $65.
