Hi,
I have a problem to get my T-C work as I want to.
I've my IBM thinkpad connected to Internet on LAN0 via a router and a cable modem, As LAN1 on the Thinkpad I've a wi-fi card. My problem is to access internet with my TC via My Thinkpad? How should I configure the Thinkpad and Tungsten?
Thinkpad is running Win200Pro
router is a D-Link DI-804 (European ver.)
Hope someone can help me?

I have right the same problem. If you get any solution, I'm very interested. I use a Thinkpad T30, DSL-Router/LAN-Switch from Zyxel. T/C connects to the T30, but no chance to receive a ping or any data.
I hope for a solution!

You need to ensure that Internet Connection Sharing is switched on on the laptop. You *may* need to bridge the wifi and LAN connections too though I've never found this necessary.
Internet Connection Sharing is a simple Wizard type app that allows your net connection to be shared by any machine connected to your laptop

Hi tpalsson,
I made it in this way:
ThinkPad:
I have 2 Network-Entries, one for Network 100Mb with the DSL-Router, one for Wi-Fi.
Activate Internet Connection sharing in the Properties for the EthernetNetwork to Wi-Fi. When you do this, Windows wants to change the Wi-Fi-Network-IP to 192.168.0.1 Accept this!
Also I configured DSL-Router as DHCP-Server with adress 192.168.1.1, so the Ethernet-Network-Connection of the Thinkpad gets the IP 192.168.1.xx (e.g. 192.168.1.34)
WiFi-Properties on Thinkpad-Configuration:
Profile-Name: what ypu want...
Network-Type: Peer-to-Peer
Network-Name: "thinkpadpalm" (e.g.)
Channel: 11
Tungsten:
Create a new WiFi-connection and give it the name "thinkpadpalm" (same as Network-Name on Thinkpad) as SSID
Signal: Ad-hoc-Network
IP-Adress: automatic
DNS-Server: automatic
Establish a connection. TC get normally the following settings:
IP-Adress: 192.168.0.xxx
Subnetmask: 255.255.255.0
Router: 192.168.0.1 !
Pref. DNS: 192.168.0.1 !
alt. DNS: 0.0.0.0
and go!
