I am trying to web surf on my TT, using hawking BT dongle on Windows XP (without mocha PPP).I followed the instructions as specified on

http://www.pdastreet.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17676

But i get the following error when i use webpro

DNS error. Please check
coverage, check that
the Host Address in
Preferences is correct,
and try again.

Has anyone able to make it work? The instructions i followed also appear on

http://www.palmzone.net/bluetooth.htm

I followed the second method (using internet sharing) specified on the above site.
When this did not work i tried to follow the third method using windows XP RAS server but then my hotsync stopped working.

So my questions are
1) is anyone able to surf the web using ICS method OR windows XP RAS method
2) is anyone able to surf as well as hotsync using BT dongle without mocha PPP

You may want to check that you've disabled the profiles that you are not using and ensure you've got the latest patch from Palm.

I had a similar problem. I never followed any guides, all I did is enable internet sharing on my DSL network connection and, of course, pair the Palm to my PC using the bluetooth USB dongle. Then I set up the Palm to connect to the PC via bluetooth (no usrname, pass needed).

The problem I had initially sounds like what you're seeing. It would hotsync and connect normally, but Web Browser Pro would give me an error. All I had to do is disable my PC's firewall (Norton) and everything was OK. I don't know how to surf on the Palm with the firewall enabled, but I am sure it's a matter of setting it up on the firewall.
