HI

As Palm are now using Xscale CPu's

Is there anyone out there that might be able to Change the ROM in a Pocket PC using a Intel Xscale 250 @200mhz or above CPU.

To take the new verison of the PALM OS.

I think it would need a bit of reworking to get the hardware side right, but I feel this would be possible.

Any feelings about this please post here.

I know I could buy a Palm/Sony etc but why should not be able to load any OS for pda's on it now that most of the new PDA's use the same hardware.

I would be willing to pay around £50+ to get a download for uploading to a mmc card. Then use a Rom updater software to sort it

For what I paid for my Pocket PC you cannot get a palm based with full sound on it.

A Pocket PC like the Dell Axim @300mhz would be really good with palm os on it.

I have a Mitac Mio 338 clone, a Medion PPC 100. That cost £150.00 with 6 months warr from a local Exchange shop where they buy and sell second hand goods, Its as new too fully boxed and all extra's

Its very cheap but good PDA, but i wanted Palm OS as I feel its better and more stabe, but funds would not allow The Zire 71. etc
