Hi,
I have trouble synchronizing my Palm's (os v. 4.1) build in expense with my Palm desktop (v.4.1).
M505
Windows XP
Office XP
Ever since I bought the Palm, The expense program only sync once successfully. Everthing else sync fine:
Hotsync log will say
OK expense
only if no data is in either the Palm expense nor the Desktop expense.
If there were to be any data at all I nomally get this log:

As a rather long first effort I suggest you uninstall and reinstall the Palm Desktop. If you do not have Desktop 4.1 now would be a good time to download free from Palm and install.
It sounds as if the expense conduit, or more accurately the conduits registry setting as corrupted.
I hope you will find the Expense app to your needs. Most people use an alternative.

Dear DrMud,
thanks for your advice, I will try uninstalling my desktop, how about the programs that I have installed in my Palm, you think I will have to reinstall everything?
By the way do you have any suggestion for an alternate expense program that is simple to use?

Thanks!

If you use BackupBuddy you should have no problem with lost apps or putting them back. BackupBuddy, if set to Back them all up will load them all back. If no BackupBuddy try the Demo of SyncWizard and you can make a copy of everything on your palm and load it all back on with ease should you have an unexpected problem. Remember the old sayin "expect the unexpected."

PS: Palmgear.com has both of the above and a dozen or so expense apps. I use a free one I picked up from DDHSoftware to use with their database app called HanDBase. If you have need of a data base app HandBase is excellent and they have hundreds of well designed utilities for all sorts of things from tracking books you have loaned to friends and your DVD collection.

Please try this step:

- Click on Hotsync Manager on your Taskbar.
- Select "Custom"
- Select "Expense"
- Press "Change"
- change to "Handheld overwrite Desktop"
- OK .. Done

Then... Try to hotsync again , and see viewlog.
