Pilot 09-23-2002, 12:24 AM Can you automatically boot into NetBSD instead of CE? I didn't think that was possible because the RAM is always wiped out when booting NetBSD so how are you going to make a "permanent" change to boot to NetBSD after starting up CE? Any HPC device is most likely going to look to the ROM for instructions on booting before it looks anywhere else, so unless you can change the ROM, I don't think there is a way to automatically boot directly into NetBSD. I think the CE version of Linux doesn't wipe out your RAM like NetBSD does -- you may want to try that and then you could put the Linux loader in your startup folder. Of course, I've only toyed a little with NetBSD (installed a very basic install), and I've never used LinuxCE, but have just read about it. PDA Street
