DRMUD,

Thanks for your reply.

A Chinese-Chinese dictionary is a chinese dictionary for looking up the meaning of a Chinese character in Chinese sentences, phrases, etc. It is similar to an English Dictionary usually called English-English Dictionary in internet which is used to look up English word in English. For example, the meaning of 'abase' in English is ' to lower, degrade or humiliate oneself'.

I found various kinds of Dictionaries in internet for Palm but none of them are Chinese dictionaries for giving explanations in Chinese for a Chinese character.

Anyway, thanks for your reply.

Thank you for the explantion. I assume that such a dictionary would need to be run on a Palm with Chinese OS if Chinese characters are to be used. Or would they simply be bit mapped renderings of Characters? Just curious.

Thanks for your response.

I believe you are right that such a dictionary should normally run under palm Chinese OS.

It is strange that we can easily find English-Chinese or Chinese-English dictionary in internet but there is no Chinese-Chinese Dictionary so far.

Thanks again for your response.

You might consider posting your Question on PDABuzz or BrightHand's Palm boards as they have many more members.
