I have a Jornada 547 and a Jornada 568 which I am trying to synchronize on one computer using ActiveSync (version 3.5). My operating system is Windows 98. Unfortunately when I try to sync my son's Jornada, it pulls in all my data and vice versa. We are set up under two different Pocket PC partnership names. I have even hard reset my son's Jornada since it originally had all my data on it. And I have deleted partnership names and added partnership names to try and find a sync solution that will work.
Is it possible to sync two Jornadas on one computer system without having ActiveSync put my data on my son's Jornada and his data on my Jornada? If so what is the secret? I never had these kinds of problems with my Palms.
Help, please! Thank you.

Don't know much about it but could sync the two with the built in IR and then sync with the pc??
Just a thought.
Another you might try - have no idea if it would work is to install a new installation of active sync to a different directory and see if that works for you somehow. Don't know if active sync would stand for this or not.

Thanks for your reply Exscentric. I am not trying to sync the two Jornada's together. Rather I am trying to sync them as two separate devices on my computer to retain the different contacts, calendar listings etc. in each Jornada. I don't want to merge any of the contacts, calendar listings, tasks, notes etc. on either Jornada.

i have a 568 and 525 and found that the only way was to have one sync with outlook and the other to sync files only. Outlook 2000/2002 always seemed to have problems with two profiles being accessed by activesync. sorry i cant be more help but i have tried hard enough and i dont think its possible!

Daveguk, thanks for your response. I have done the same thing allowing my sons Jornada 547 to just sync files and my Jornada 568 to sync contacts, calendar, tasks etc. But that does not allow my son to sync his contacts etc. Surely HP and/or Microsoft has a solution to this problem. It is frustrating.
