All of you interessed in playing some nice videos on your TT (or Zire71), I suggest you to look after this new release, it's seems to be greatly improved since the last one !
www.mmplayer.com

I haven't got my TT for the moment to test it but people seem to be glad with this release. Give it a try !

ummm. I'm looking forward to 0.1.6 lets say! (I think 0.1.3 performed better than this!) Also it caused a hard reset on my Palm. Not good!
Thanks for the heads up.

From their roadmap page:

"A new 0.1.x version should normally be released each friday and will integrate changes reflecting the feedback we get on the forum. "

If only I had the memory to store videos :)

umm. I think you must take that with a pinch of salt- we had 2 releases this last month!

I can't wait for those 4GB SD's that are meant to be out this year!. DOesn't look like we'll see them this year at the rate thay're going tho.

hate to be a pain but..

Ive been following the MMplayer saga and it seems to me that by the time all of the problems are sorted out for the T|T (or even the T|T2 at the current rate), the hardware will be soooomuch better that the ingenious coding efforts of Magnus/Datrus will become the stuff of history. Im not a luddite by any means but it seems to me that progress maybe too slow........I nevertheless applaud their efforts, they are very bright people...

ready to receive the hate mail....

I don't think progress are too slow : in less than a month, playing a video jumped from a nasty experience to a suitable one. videos are smooth right now and, as they said, the most part of the code is there.

And, other though : who will ever pay for kinoma after mmplayer ? these two guys have written a really nice piece of code and they were alone... what can we think about kinoma dev. team ?
mmplayer is a real challenger for them.

Just playing Devil's advocate. Obviously devlopments taking palce now will be the basis for better versions in the future that will be quickly able to take advantage of improved hardware/OS etc. MMplayer rules will rule...

wow- get 0.1.5b! There IS A MASSIVE DIFFERECE! I got a HIgh quality vidoe to play with NO JUMPING! DivX + all! It jumped awfully with 0.1.5 but with 0.1.5b it's perfect if you use the correct settings!
Just a warning, I've had 2 hard reset as a result of just a few minute MMPlayer 0.1.5 use. There is a bug causing hard reset in this release. It's not in any other releases so don't be scared off, but if you use 0.1.5 or 0.1.5b make sure you take a FULL BACKUP first. I didn't:(

+btw, earlier I wasn't saying the progress was slow, I was just saying every friday was a bit off. Maybe it will be every friday now though...... I think they are making excellent progress, especially considering they BOTH have FULL-TIME jobs as well.
