This is the dire situation. My battery ran out on the palm and I did a hard reset, which deleted all the information from my handheld device. I went to hot sync to my computer ,and I accidentally deleted my user profile. So now I have nothing; nada; zilch. I am hoping by some thread of hope that there is a file saved somewhere on my hard drive that can be recovered. I don't know what type of file the user profile is, and I don't see any of my .ada and .dba files for my address and datebook ANYWHERE on my hard drive. I have not turned off my computer during this time, but I did shut down the Palm Program and re-open, so that may have eliminated my hope of recovering my user ID.

Can anyone help? I don't want to have to re-enter all my information and am hoping that the user file is hiding somewhere on my hard drive.

Thanks.!@!@!

it is rather strange that even after deleting a profile you couldn't find any palmstuff on you HD anymore (already tried a wildcard search?). if i were you i would look in the palm folder if you see a folder wit (the first part of) you username. if this doesn't exist anymore you're in trouble (if you're realy desperate you can always try recovery programs -since something that has been deleted has not actually been deleted:confused: only the pointer has been nullified or something like that- to get it back) if it does exist create a new profile and copy the stuff into it and hotsync. btw, the extension for your agenda/calendar/memo/todo (the standard) apps are NOT pdb's or so. ther's still a fraction of hope fore you:)
