Does anyone have any international experience with the NavMan/Compaq GPS unit (sleeve)?
I have noticed that the unit is marketed under the NavMan name in the US, but in Europe NavMan re-brands it to be a Compaq product.
I frequently travel between the US and UK/Europe and would like to purchase the GPS unit. As with everything else, it is cheaper by far to buy the unit in the US, however NavMan have told me that they will not sell me the CF for UK/Europe maps and that the US product will not work in Europe.
Anyone with any experience with this??
GPS is GPS, so unless it is a matter of the company(ies) not selling the CF independantly, I can not see what a UK CF wont work in the US NavMan.
