I found a solution. Hope this helps others. I downloaded a file manager FileZ. I found the file "Web URL Autofill" and deleted it. Now I am back on line and satisfied again.

I upgraded the Rom on the Palm web site and my problems are over. I can now get online with my Linksys WAP11 at home and I don't hear any pop noises.

Thanks for the idea. Like slm2fly, teeubank's method didn't work for me, but as soon as I deleted the file "Web Cookies", my browser was back in business, and no more MemoryMgr.c, Line: 3654 reset crashes!

I have the exactly same problem but with a Zire 71 using AvantGo
It seems to be something related a corrupt file in the beta version.
I'm using OS 5.2.1

I started getting a FATAL ALERT yesterday while accessing this bulletin board. DataMgr.C, Line:9529,Index out of Range RESET.

A pin reset didn't work (message kept reappearing), but I found a site that suggested holding the up jog dial while sticking the pin. It allowed me to reset without apparent loss of data.

Happened again this morning, as soon as I turned my Palm T|C on. I installed the ICQ beta yesterday. Might that be it? I think so, I just went there to check the settings and BAM!

Where do I find the "Web Cookies" file to delete? I just took out the "Web History".

I used a free utility called FileZ to see every file on my T|C, including Web Cookies. I can't remember where I got it though. Check palmgear.com or just google it.

I followed Tu's suggestion of using FileZ program to delete my Palm Tungsten C's webcookies file, and that eliminated the "memorymgr.c, line 3654, free handle error."

I also downloaded ICQ beta and it corrupted my Palm Zire 72s.
Reseting while holding the Up Button (jog dial) let me access again the system and delete all ICQ files. Perfect again. :D

I had tried to clear out all of my channels in AvantGo, and it was taking so long that I thought the PDA had hung, so I foolishly reset it. After that, "AvantGo MemoryMgr.c Line:3654 Free Handle" every time I tried to start AvantGo, and I had to poke the reset to proceed. I even uninstalled AvantGo and reinstalled it and still got the error. I used TealMover to look at the files, deleted all the "Web.." ones, (there were three, shoulda written down the names, sorry. "Web Cookies" wasn't one of them, though) and after that everything was OK again.
