IPAQ 3835 soft reset

Just got the Ipaq 3835 from UBID. Nice to have, but I am still used to my Palm Vx. Found that after a few days, I could not get the wireless devices to sync with my Linksys Wireless router. Holding off on that for now. Today, I discovered that whenever I do a soft reset a line appears from the bottom of the screen to the top of the screen, not in the same location all the time, at the first window where the IPAQ Pocket PC logo with Compaq shows up. Has anyone else had similar issues? After 1 week of use the unit is being sent to HP/Compaq for them to look at the line. The unit has NOT been dropped and this only appears when the soft reset is done.

I've noticed a similar white line that appears when the red and white screen appears after a soft reset. Since the normal screen image is not affected in any way by this I ignore it.

I recently got an iPAQ 3955 and I see the same line when doing the reset. I never see it anywhere else so I assumed it was not an issue. I am new to this board and the iPAQ but I have been using a Jornada 525 for a couple of years. Now I wish I had heard about the 2215 before I upgraded.

Mine (3835) just has lines and no text or anything else, so I dono

I've got the same line on my 3835 - always in the same place and only during soft reset. I've never considered it a problem.
