How can I access the internet using my ipaq and celuular phone as a modem(lgvx1). I purchased a cable that connects my ipaq to my cell phone, but I can't find an internet service provider to surf the web. Pocket AOL 2.0 software will not support pocket pc 2002. What are my options? Are there any other ways to surf the net using my ipaq and cell phone as a modem?:confused:

You can just set up a dial-up connection, but it requirs you to have an ISP other than AOL(Aol people were stupid, and you have to use theire software to connect. If you have MSN, Netzero, or some other dial-up ISP e-mail me and i can give you more details.

Thankyou for the reply. I signed up with net zero but I am still unable to gain access. Can you help? I was unable to find your email address.

I'm not 100% sure how to do this becuse i have never connected through a phone. Howere i have used a compactflash modem. Try this:
1. Go to start->settings
2. click the "connections" tab
3. click "connections
4. Under the first drop down box click "modify" (it should say "internet settings" in the box if not click the arrow and select it.)
5. Click on the "Modem Tab"
6. click on "new..."
7. Give it a name then select your modem (it should be your phone, if it isnt list make shure your phone is corently connected to the iPAQ)
8. click next and fill in the rest.
9. When you want to connect follow steps 1-3 then click on "connect" instead of "modify"
Make sure you have your area code properties set up properly so that it dials the exact number you want with out a "1" or anything
