I've had my Dell Axim Pocket PC about three weeks - running Active Sync 3.5 - but four days ago it stopped connecting between the PPC and my Compaq Presario 700 laptop.

I've tried uninstalling and then reinstalling ActiveSync on the laptop.

When I hook up the USB cable and turn on the PPC the connection sound happens, same when I disconnect or turn it off. But ActiveSync says "Not Connected" and no syncronization or file sharing can happen.

Can anyone help me?? boohoohoo

Thanks,
Manu.

Soft reset your pda then try to sync again. You can also upgrade to latest version of Activesync(3.7).

Use the stylus tip to press and release the recessed button on the left side of the unit under the rubbered grip.

I have had this problem b4 and soft reseting did not help me if upgrading activesync and then do a hard reset ( power button and reset button for 2 seconds at the same time) But u have to input all your data again... chances are... like me it was a program that messed it up such as Easytweak. Do not backup your data or else the problem will be back when u restore the data... after u hard reset u got to do all the setup again but then is should connect, go into activesync and delete the other partnership if u want to use the same name for it. And it should connect now... NOW ANSWER MINE... plz :D
