You mean instead of pushing the little hotsync button?

You can get apps that detect the presence of the cradle and launch one application. Like Cardexport or initiate a Hotsync.

Does anyone know the command line to initiate a HotSync? If you do , it might be possible to enter it into the Windows Scheduler. Has anyone tried it? Please reply with the steps you took. Thanks.

I have found a different solution to auto times hotsyncing.

There is an old program called AutoSync that runs off the palm. You can set quite sophisticated schedules that allow the palm to automatically begin a hotsync without you being present. It also has the added bonus of not syncing if the palm is not in the cradle.

I am using this program on my Tungsten T and it works well. In fact I use it to start up my Windows XP computer in the mornings. On my system if you start a hotsync with USB when the computer is shut down it will initiate a bootup sequence on the pc. So with Autosync I set one syncronisation to take place early in the morning and another to occur shortly thereafter and then every four hours. This means I awaken to my computer switched on and my palm freshly hotsynced.

You can purchase Autosync at this site:
