Windows XP & e570 activesync

Installing programs on a new desktop with Windows XP. The Toshiba Pocket PC CD with MS Outlook 2002 and ActiveSync 3.5 isn't recognized when inserted in the drawer. Going to My Computer and other routes to try to install the software all fail. I did download the MS XP Service Pack 1 which would hopefully be a correcting patch, but it didn't help. Any suggestions from the experts here? BTW, the software installed and worked fine on my old computer which ran Windows 98SE.

I have recently been upgraded with MS XP Service Pack and believe that that has contributed to the lamp blinking orange and now oultook on the e310 is not working.

I would be curious to know what you find out with your inquiry as I think I have a similar problem.

There is another thread that give a link to Activesync 3.6 that updates the USB driver for XP. you might want to take a look at it. Also, make sure on the PDA that the Activesync > Tools option is set for USB (f you connect via the USB cradle).
