Sorry for all of the basic questions that were probably discussed and solved ages ago.

Since I will be buying a psion I figure I might as well utilize it as much as possible. I read somewhere about "routeplanner" software and connecting a GPS to the psion.

I would use this for boating in Florida/Bahamas and for travel in Asia, Europe and USA. All of this depends of course on the software available (and the GSP).

Does anyone have suggestions or experience with this?

Isn't it possible to get a lower-end GPS (under US$200) since the psion will take care of the software (maps) and the screen?

thank you again,
best regards,
Kevin

Hi, Kevin

I use the cheapest Garmin GPS machine, the eTrex (looks like a bright yellow mobile phone!), and it's fine.

You will need a custom link lead; I got mine from orders@.serialleads.co.uk.

I've got Tom Tom Route Planner and City Maps for Europe, which integrate perfectly with the Psion and the Garmin.
