Hacking of DV1

Good&Bad

Synchronization with PIM work fine
Memo: no more as 481 symbol
Nice keyboard (external), cradle.
Small size of PDA, QuickKeys.
Memory: each record take 512 byte in memory PDA. On my DV1 near 500 records take near 50% memory - I'm thinking what 1M memory of PDA divided on two half - 0.5 M for OS, 0.5M for user records. It's not enough.
Anniversary: with stylus try to enter date, early as 1950 year - this is impossible.
Asc order, no desc order in memo, date and other sorting. Latest records in memo i'm scroll to long time.
Auto shut-off always running, 6 sec backlight is hard set.
No expenses accounting, no spreadsheet.
PDA has 8M flash ROM, but OS not upgradeable.
Bad tech support on site ( www.royal.com www.lexibook.com www.olivetti.com ) - no info, no promises, no applications, no OS
