I cannot hotsync a TT to an iMac. Any ideas! If I do a hard reset and then hotsync it will hotsync, but only once. After that one time it just wouldn't work.

Now I am a PC person and my TT works fine at home but I got my dad a TT to use on his iMac and this is the problem that were having.

Please help... anyone!!!

hello

check where is plugged your palm craddle or cable....check that isync is enabled on your imac + download the ultimate imac system : 10.2.6

(here, either with my ibook or imac, with cable or bluetooth, it works perfectly...)

Same here, 10.2.6 (in this case on G4Ti laptop) works flawlessly. Try the iSynch conduit for sync of datebook/address book. It rocks.

Ok, have you checked the conduit settings? Make sure it says Hot Sync enabled. And if you're getting a sync after a hard reset, but that's it, there may be something goofy that's causing the settings to disable.
You might also try uninstalling and re-installing the Palm desktop in case something went wonky there.
Are you trying to sync a new T/T, or yours that you sync with a pc? That could also be giving the Palm sync conduit a bit of a rough patch as it's trying to locate that other sync information, it can't, so it disables itself rather than potentially wipe out info.
Also, just make sure the sync cable is firmly in the usb port. If you have two ports, try the other, but I'd reinstall the Desktop, then check the setting first off.
Try those and see what happens.

Thanks for your replies... do you have to have isync in order to hotsync with the TT? Does isync come with Mac 10 or do I need to purchase it seperately?

To answer your question Rand, I am only trying to sync one TT, a new one, to this imac. I will try re-installing the software.

isync is provided by apple free of charge at :
http://www.apple.com/isync/

and they give plenty of explaination about and around it

I will try isync, but do you have to use isync or is hotsync supposed to work the way it does on a PC. Am I missing something in the setup?

the "regular" hotsync works quite well but isync allows you to synchronize more than one peripheral at the same time while hotsync will only sinc' your palm (if i'm correct)

isync also sync téléphones, ipod, other pda and any other device you feel like connecting cabled or bluetoothedjavascript:smilie(':o')
