CLIE S300 error message on reset. HELP ME!!!

hi i have a sony clie s300 and at the moment it don't work. i was using msn messenger force last night and as i signed off it hung and then produced a error message telling me to reset. msn messenger force does this occassionally, so I thought nothing of it and reset the palm from the back (the button on-screen nevr works) it displayed the "Palm Computing Platform" message as usually when it reboots, but that's as far as it got. It then produced an error message saying something like "MemoryMgr Line: 8589 Index not set", asking me to reset again. I reset the palm once more as instructed and the same thing happened. Again and again and again. I really need this thing and the data on it which wasn't synchronised so someone please tell me what to do. thanks.

Please WarmReset your Palm. Then delete that program (MSN), and after that you must SoftReset again.


WarmReset =
1. Press and hold the Page Up button on your handheld.
2. Using the reset tip tool (or a similar object without a sharp tip), gently press the reset button inside the hole on the back panel of your handheld.
3. When the Palm Computing Platform logo appears on the screen, release the Page Up button.


SoftReset = Use the reset tip tool (see below), or the tip of an unfolded paper clip (or similar object without a sharp tip), to gently press the reset button inside the hole on the back panel of your handheld.
