I know this question has been bounced around some before, but I want to be sure the answer is a definite NO before I start manually reloading everything. My 3655 stylus latch broke after 16 months of ownership. I bought it at Best Buy and popped for the extended warranty when I bought it. I felt it was probably a waste of money at the time, but they gave me a 3955 for an additional $50 last night...seemed like a deal. Wow.

Anyway, the issue is that I have a backup of all my 3655 stuff on my PC hard drive and on a CF card, but I can't seem to get the 3955 to recognize the files. I keep getting the "Invalid File Type" message. I know the 3955 utilizes the Sprite Software backup utility, which is different than what my old 3655 used, and my understanding is that the file structure is different, but I want to be sure there isn't a "work around" before I give up. I have heard of some Compaq Softpaq (spelling?) fixes that possibly allow you to restore a new iPAQ from an older one, but I am having trouble getting the straight scoop. It is probably just me. If anyone can provide any definitive answers I would most graciously appreciate it.

Thanks alot.
