Mobile Access

Have just upgraded my mobile, having been used to using my 5mx with an Ericsson T20i and T28 modem. I now have become so used to using the Gold card modem with my Netbook that I have forgotten how to configure the settings for mobile access.
I now have a Samsung SHG A 300 phone. I plan yo use this on holiday to access my e mails. Can anyone please tell me how to configure my Netbook, or point me in the right direction of a website.

I would think you should start by trying the settings you currently have in your 5mx (Control Panel's Dialling, Modems and Internet applets) in the netBook and see what happens :)

Thanks Mike. It seems that I cannot use this phone to access the internet as it does not have a built in modem.

Although Samsung are not exactly bending over backwards to provide information on their website, it is a WAP phone and as such must have a modem built-in.

Start off by having a look at the 'Problems' section of the "Modem Information & Troubleshooting" file on my General Information web page. This file covers using Comms, creating log files and so on.

Thanks everyone, Downloaded a programme called the dialer, which is freeware. All ok now for whatever reason.
