HELP! Please. Does anyone have this problem too??..

Hi all,
I have a dead area on my palm screen where the digitizer DOES NOT RESPOND!! The screen itself displays fine. Please take a look at the picture it shows in RED where the screen doesn't respond to the stylus tap. Brigtness level makes no difference and I've been inside it and checked the digitizer cable is plugged in properly which it is. Thanks

Hey Dave,

No harm trying to solve problems with dead areas or other odd screen calibration issues by recalibrating your digitizer...

Go to SYSTEM --> Prefs --> Then choose "Digitizer" from the drop down menu. Then follow the on screen instructions.

If this doesnt work, soft reset. If still no help, hard reset.

If all these doesnt work, you may have to change the digitizer.

Thanks guys. Janjan- re-digitizing makes no difference and the palm has had various hard and soft resets since the problems started but what I might try is hard resetting and not restoring the programs- starting afresh incase its a problem with one of the programs i use so thanks 4 that. Thespies- sorry the link was messed up when i first put it there but i corrected that- but it wasn't pointiong to my desktop i don't think??!!:confused: Thanks Guys

thanks janjan. I was hopeful. I tried it but it didn't make a difference- its obviastly not a slipped ribbon. :-()?!
