hot sync via IR

anyone else like to hotsync via IR? i tried it today for the first time and it was sooooo slooooow. what can I do to speed it up? i have my speeds set as highest possible and it takes like 5 minutes to do a sync. any suggestions?

Yes -- don't hotsynch via IR. Not trying to be a smartass or anything, its just that IR is always going to be slower. I've gone back and forth myself.

Why would you prefer to sync with IR? It seems like IR is slow at everything it does. The reason I have my Palm is because I want things yesterday. If I had ten minutes to run a sync I would have the same to boot up a laptop.

The only thing I use IR for is beaming to co-workers and messing with my kids while they are watching TV.
