I've just purchased a IIIc (from ebay). I'm upgrading from a IIIxe. Just wanted to know which financial software package people are using. On my IIIxe, I've been using Pocket Quicken. I love the easy sync with the desktop, but a $39.95 price just doesn't seem worth it. Anybody have experience with using Splash Money or BankBook? My main concern is seamless integration with Quicken - I don't want to update my Palm's balances by re-typing them. I also don't want to export/import manually - I want all of the transactions and updating to be done via one touch of the sync button.

Why not use you Pocket Quicken on you IIIc too? since you have already bought it it seems logical you should be allowed to use it again on the IIIc. if they don't wish to grant it you could try to fake the program by using palmname (an other is mentioned somewhere on the general board) and simply making you userID an palmID the same as on your IIIxe.

My problem is that I cannot locate the registration # from my original program. I have emailed LandWare to find out my options, but they have not responded. What do you mean by palmname?

palmname (there are other options as previously said) is a program cabaple of changing the 4-digit palm ID and your username. as most of the more professional programs use one of those -or both- to validate the registration number you enter, even if you had the reg. code there is a chance it would not work, simply becouse of the fact that there's a 1 to 10000 change your current palm has an other ID then your previous. At which moment pamname makes it's entrance to fix that problem (does mean you need the ID of you previous palm)

If you have need for palmname just ask, it's hard to find freeware but i believe i got a copy of it somewhere.;)

you're telling me you bought a $30 program and you do not get a pely to a simple question? i would still try it once or twice and then e-bomb 'm (ooh i'm subtle today:D )

e-bombers are free for download just search around in the astalavista box (http://www.astalavista.com). heh heh heh...

My experience with LandWare support has been excellent. If they have not responded to your email it could be as simple as a failure of their server. Send them another email for the registration code. In my mind there is no better Quicken related software. If you are in the US try the phone they will help.

PS: "ChangeName" is the hotsync name app.
