"Recurring problem with Word program, EPOC 5, version 1.05(254). Every three or four sessions, I'll be cutting and pasting within a Word doc and the screen will say "Corrupt" (and will not paste). If I close the doc, I'm unable to open it again -- it just says "Information Corrupt"

I've tried full rebooting (removing both batteries). Still no luck. I've lost too many important files. Help!"

I have read this message somewhere else before and I am now experiencing this problem my self. But I miss a possible solution for this and hope that somebody may help me!

Kind regards

I haven't come across this particular problem before. I have seen corrupt files when trying to save to Compact Flash with insufficient battery power.

Are you performing a very large number of these cut / paste operations before the file corrupts? It may be that the file's structure is being destroyed and it cannot continue. One option, although a bit of a nuisance, might be to use "Save as" to keep several versions of the document as you progress, using different names.

Thanks for your answer.

This happens with small files as well. "Save as" does not give me more cut-and-paste possibilities with a file.

A former answer on this list said something about the circuit board, but no details.

Former message:
No, no large CF. They say it needs a new circuit board.
