I have tried delelting two stupid photos on both the handheld and on the Palm desktop software, but every single time I hotsync, there they are in both places again. I am going crazy trying to get rid of them. I had planned to take pictures with this on my upcoming vacation, but I am not going to if the photos I do not wish to keep are so hard to get rid of. Please, any suggestions?
Thanks!

your not performing a hard reset are you because that will put the photos they sent with your palm back on. if not that then make sure that you delete the photos from the desktop properly.

No, I am only selecting 'Delete' from the menu on the handheld when the two pictures are selected, and on the desktop software I either click on the garbage can or select 'Delete' from the right-click menu with either photo selected. I have even gone into my windows explorer to make sure they are not saved in the Palm pictures folder. And all these things do erase the photos from the handheld and the desktop software. But as soon as I hotsync, they are back on the handheld and desktop software again. It's gone on and on and I am so frustrated. Any ideas to help me with it?

try just deleting one at a time and see what happens.

I don't know what more to explain. I delete the 2 photos and they go away. But when I hotsync they return in both the handheld and on the desktop palm on my pc.

Oh, and one more thing, when I deleted them from my hardrive (both C:\My Documents\Palm Photos and C:\Program Files\Palm\User\Photos) the pictures no longer are listed there. But despite that they still keep shoing up after deletion when I hotsync on on the palm and desktop palm.

Do you unmark "archive picture?" when you delete a photo?

Where do I find the hotsync backup? I'd like to know for future reference. However, your last post gave me an idea. I changed the settings on hotsync to 'Handheld overwrites Desktop' in the Photos category and then deleted the photos on the handheld. Then when I hotsynced they were both finally gone from both the handheld and desktop! Yippee!! Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it. And, I really would like to know where to find the hotsync back up for in the future.

To see your backed up files, go to Programs. Expand Palm folder. One of the sub-folders bears your Palm user name (i.e., the name you use for hotsync'ing). Expand this sub-folder and you will find a folder called "Backup." Click to display all backed up databases. Recently installed files (i.e., files installed after your last hotsync) can be found in a "temp*" folder under the Backup folder.

Nope, I'd been there earlier in my attempt at solving this and nothing there said hotsync. It also has no subfolder (temp, etc). So lucklily I solved the problem a different way. I guess I've somehow messed up the backup folder and so it wouldn't have been an option for me. Thanks though.

Try deleting the photos from EITHER the Palm OR the desktop; then hotsync. This should get rid of them on both devices.
