Hi Newbee questions

I am thinking about an MX couple of questions

Does wifi/bluetooth compact flash cards work with an MX

I want to use the wireless card for internet access and email via adsl

Also what about compact flash gps cards


Any feedback would be greatly received

The Compact Flash slot in the 5mx can only be used for memory cards. It cannot be used for other devices such as modems or ethernet cards.

You should be able to use ADSL by connecting to the PC and running an application called "Mocha PPP" to share the PC's connection.

Unfortunately, the Psion 5MX only supports type I compact flash cards, and so you are limited to memory cards only. Apparently, you can use upto 512Mb cards, although officially the Psion can only support up to 128Mb (I have used a 128Mb card successfully myself). I am a software and hardware developer, and am currently working with an electronics designer to build a new type of Compact Flash Type I card specifically for use with the Psion 5MX with Input / output devices (e.g. Bluetooth). Oh BABY! Thanks ever so much for pointing me at this page!!! I haven't until this managed to find anything on other people working on this kind of thing - and with a single post you have managed to direct me to someone doing the exact same thing!!!!
