How do I delete a shortcut (file) from the Programs menu? I tried to remove a program from the 'Remove Programs' program and it will not delete a .dll file. This program has been "Stopped" (I use vBar) so I know that's not running in the background. When I go to the Programs menu (Start - Programs) the shortcut remains with a blank Icon. My guess is that the Remove Programs removed all but this .dll file and that keeps the Icons on my Program menu?

Open File Explorer and browse to the folder where the blank icon is located and TAP&HOLD on the icon, a popup with an option to delete should show up.

When I ran the Remove Programs menu, the folder where the program existed was deleted. I even ran the Find program to see if the .dll was deleted.....it wasn't there!? It looks like I'm going to have to hard boot the system and re-install the other software. Thanks anyway Answer Dude!

Now I'm confused, you asked "How do I delete a shortcut (file) from the Programs menu?" and said "When I go to the Programs menu (Start - Programs) the shortcut remains with a blank Icon."
All I'm answering is how to get rid of that blank icon from the programs menu, again look in My Device--Windows--Start Menu--Programs, tap and hold and you should be able to deletle the shortcut, it has nothing to do with the dll. The uninstaller probably already deleted everything but the shortcut.
