Mobile Planet is showing Covertec case available in Brown and Red with Black available in August - case. I've ordered one just to see if it's true. They don't show the iQue as being available but just these cases.
I'll post back after receiving the case on Friday - if it is truly available.

I ordered a brown one. Better that than red but would have preferred the black one.
Funny there's no mention of the swivel belt clip typical of covertec cases?

omnibus, last night when I created the original post - there were no pictures and no other link's on the order page. Covetec's home page as of last night didn't even mention them other than a May 15th availability.
Thanks for the update - hopefully, I receive the brown one tomorrow and see. It could be that I have a case before a unit.....

I contacted Mobile Planet earlier today to find out if the swivel clip was available. They said it was not currently available to ship but that they expected to cary them when/if Convatec makes them available for purchase. As it stands any cases ordered today will not include the wips clips.

I did get the case but I can't see how it fits until I recieve my iQue which I suspect now that the Mobile Planet page contains photos of the case - Garmin must be planning on releasing it very soon.
Ok the case: it has 3 credit card/business card slots and two SD slots in the cover flap. cut outs for the left side controls on the back flap and a cut out just above the voice recorder cut out that is in the bend of the flap that should allow for clearance to the microphone. You should be able to listen via headphones with the cover closed. The cover has the usual Covertec magnetic closure which folds over the bottom of the unit and attaches to the female receiver on the back of the case.
Top cover is 3 inches wide by about 5 5/8 inches tall. The bottom of the "inside" has a receiver for the iQue that is 2 3/8 inches tall. The iQue should fit in this receiver and the buttons will be totally unobstructed. The receiver is U-shaped with a cut out for the universal connector at the bottom as well as cut outs on the bottom corners. You'll be able to use a sync cable but no cradle.
Without a unit to fit - I can't tell about the sizing but the quality of the leather and stiching is as usual, excellent for a Covertec case.
There is no way, of course, to deploy the iQue's antennae while the case is closed - you'll have to have the cover open for that but it should make for an excellent carrying case that provides minimal protection against drops. If you want a lot of protection against concrete gravitational exposure (sidewalks) this is not the case but if you want protection from normal briefcase or pocket exposure - this will probably do nicely.

I got my Covertec/brown today. It's a beauty, but then I did'nt expect anything less from Covertec.
It gives me a really good feel for the size of the 3600, weighing only 5 ounces the ique will be a nice fit in my pocket.
Anybody want to be first in line to buy my "emap":)

Are the Covertec cases as good as the Slipper cases for the IIIxe's, etc? I really like the Slipper, but EB says they have no plans to make a cover for the iQue (dummies! ) If the Covertec's are as good, I'll get one of them!
Ann-eagerly awaiting her Garmin iQue 3600

I have an EB case for my Zire 71 and now the Covertec iQue case - other than fit (still awaiting device) the finish on the Covertec is better IMHO.

:( Nope no belt clip button scenario here. You might check at EBCases.com and see if they are working on one. I'd also suspect that Vajacases will have one as well as soon as they can get a sample for template development.

Re the Covertec Case.
Father Christmas has kindly given me a Covertec case. Before I cut it out of its plastic display packaging which says its for the Zire, can anyone who has bought a Covertec case for their iQue confirm that the Zire case is the right one for the iQue?
Thanks for your help.
