Maybe I'm not seeing something, but I've been working on this for over a month: I cannot get my HP 1910 iPAQ to get on the web via my wireless phone. I have a Nokia 3360 and Cingular service, and I have all the text messaging, wireless internet, and data services. My dial-up ISP is MSN, which I have checked the user name, password, and access number for numerous times. I *know* this is correct, because the same information will get me online with any Palm-based PDA. So far, I have tried several different models of Pocket PCs, and also a couple of different models of infrared-capable Cingular phones, both on TDMA and GSM networks.
Here's what happens: The iPAQ goes through the motions as though it is going to connect, and begins to dial. The words "Data Call" appear on my phone, and the call timer starts counting. Then...nothing. About 42 seconds into the call, the PDA hangs up, and dials again. I've already verified that there's a 1 before the area code and so on, and I've even put pauses in before the dialing begins. Also, I've disabled the "disconnect call if no answer after X secons" option, and disabled the "wait for dial tone before dialing" option on the PDA. Any ideas? Let me know if any of you have been able to figure this out, or if you can connect through a wireless phone using a data cable instead.
Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.
