I noticed that when I power the unit up, the backlight automatically comes on. I'm being careful not to hold the power button too long (because I know this activates the light). Next time you turn your Palm OFF then ON, the backlight should be OFF. The new OS remebers the last backlight setting ON or OFF. Cstelter 09-24-2002, 02:25 PM Worked!
