Garmin iQue 3600 accessories

I have my preorder in for the Garmin iQue 3600. I also ordered the car kit.($57) The car kit has a base station that plugs into the cigarette lighter.

Is there any reason to get the spererate cigarette adapter? ($12.99)

I know it sounds silly - but I have waited a bit now and dont want to have to order an accessory that i will need after I get the 3600.

IMO, it would be duplicating an accessory, however, you may use it when you're using another vehicle (rental?) and don't want to carry the base station with you.
