Hi,

Welcome to the waiting game!

Well, yesterday I received a slight ray of hope. I called TVNAV.COM yesterday to order a 256Meg SD memory card (I also ordered my iQue from them a few weeks ago). After I placed my order I said (with tongue in cheek), "Ok, Darrell, I won't ask about when the iQue is due to ship!", to which he replied, "Well, Garmin is still telling me they are shipping to distributors on August 1st".

Now, maybe I'm putting too much stock in the fact that TVNAV and Garmin are BOTH located in Kansas, but I can't help but think (or HOPE) that I'll have my iQue by the middle of August.

The waiting game continues...

I got this note from TVNAV today:

"Garmin is expecting to start shipping the iQue any day now (and no, they
or us have not been saying that for a long time as some people are saying).
At this time I don't know how many we will receive initially but once
shipping starts there **should** be regular (often) shipments coming. When
we find out how many are coming I will post the date through which we will
be filling orders. We will continue this until all pre-orders are filled."

"28 July, 2003: Garmin announced a short delay on the next shipment of iQue 3600's."

I just read this update on GPSCity where I have a pre-order for the iQue. I was told today (before the notice was posted) that the next shipment they expected from Garmin was early August.

I've also been hard pressed to find any other reviews posted on the iQue other than the one here and one on epinions. Thought there would be more by now...

I think that few dealers got their shipments in last week. TVNAV is 'next day' from Garmin; any dealer two or more days away would have gotten them today or they may still be enroute.

Very large dealers might not ship out the same day they arrive; TVNAV is small enough he can do that. Even if the iQue shipped on Friday, few people probably received theirs Saturday. I changed the shipping request to get mine on Saturday (and paid for the privilege of having it an extra couple of days earlier).

Like me. I ordered and had mine shipped out but I stuck with the free UPS ground shipping. Takes about 5 days. I should have mine today or tomorrow the latest.

They are based in Clovis, CA which is about 1.5 hours from Modesto and I'll give them a call tomorrow to see if they still have them.

Safetrac is first class all the way. Speak with Sharon and get on her list for the iQUE. Right now they sold out their initial shipment as of Saturday. I have a feeling if you get on her list now you'll be in on the next shipment.

Tell her Rich from NJ sent ya. Good luck!

I just placed my order with Safetrac! I talked with Sharon who gave me honest information and tremndous customer service. I would highly reccommend that anyone who wants to get their iQue and deal with a great company go here! Thanks opusxcigars
for a great referral!

P.S. - I cancelled my pre-order with Amazon because I was tired of the run-around. Even if I have to wait longer to get my iQue through Safetrac, I feel I have made the right choice by going to a company who is willing to serve their customers rather than just make a sale.

I'll let you all know how this works out for me.

Safetrac just confirmed that they should be receiving a shipment of units by the end of this week and should ship on Friday at the latest based upon my earlier post.

The current status from TVNAV

Updated 8/4/03:

We should receive more iQue's on Wednesday and Thursday. This will fill pre-orders placed through part of 6/2/03. We are now receiving more frequent shipments and more units in each shipment. Unfortunately we don't know how many we will be receiving at a given time. We are guessing that orders placed now will probably ship in about a week.

Looks like the pipeline is actually starting to flow!

FYI -

I just ordered from www.selectzone.com for $479.64 and that includes free ground shipping. They said they are getting in 9 on Wednesday and only 2 of those are now reserved. Their toll-free number is 877-646-0661.

I am in no way affiliated with them - I am just eager to get my hands on one and thought I would pass along the info!

I looked at selectzone and they are showing a price of $549.99. Is there a secret password? Do I say 'please'?:)

Oops! reading the fine print I click on "ADD TO CART" and voila! I see $479.64. I guess I really SHOULD read the manual first...it's a guy thing:confused:

This just in from TVNAV:

We should receive more iQue's on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. This will fill pre-orders placed through part of 7/25/03. We are now receiving more frequent shipments and more units in each shipment. Unfortunately we don't know how many we will be receiving in future shipments. We are guessing that orders placed now will probably ship in about a week. Thanks.

I should have mine in less than a week. Woo-hoo!!!

I was able to get one of the last two units from selectzone yesterday afternoon, thanks to this thread. I cancelled my pre-order with National Distributors, which seemed to be in limbo. It's set to ship tomorrow via overnight mail. Thanks to everyone for sharing the link.

I just ordered the iQue from http://gpsnow.com/gm3600.htm about 4pm EST today (called them first to verify availability) and have already received the tracking number for next day delivery.

I just checked and it looks like they still have them in stock.

I placed my order at GPSnow.com on Monday at 3pm Pacific time. I paid $11 for Fedex 2 day shipping. My unit was shipped about 2 hours after the order was placed. It was delivered to my house in San Jose, CA in about 24 hours after my order was placed.

Well done GPSnow.com (....and Fedex of course)
