I'm an aspiring writer, and since I have a rather interesting problem, I was wondering if someone could help me out.

I recently purchased a Palm Pilot Zire on ebay for about $30 less than it would have costed to get it at a store. My main reason for purchasing one was so that I could write on the go. I know that I could use paper, but I can only write my short stories and poems onpaper. The novel I am trying to write at the moment gets worse and worse if I try to write it on paper.

My friend has a Palm Pilot VII, and it drives her insane to have to make about thirty memos to finish a single chapter in her story (we are both aspiring writers). I, being the computer savvy one, decided that I would look around on the internet to see if I could download a word processing program that could easily transfer the stories from my Palm Pilot to my computer's Microsoft Word.

The requierments that I would have for this program would be:

1. Able to handle relatively large amounts of data without crashing.

2. Able to make text bold, underlined, or italiczied (could care less about the first two, the this a MUST!)

3. Ability to make indents in the document.

4. Of course, easy to use!

Does such a program exsist? Please post and let me know!

I used to own a Handspring Visor and needed a program that did all that you want it to and more. I tried out the Dataviz Documents-To-Go 5.0 and was extremely satisfied with it. It had everything I needed to support Word formats as well as Excel spreadsheets. When I purchased it, it was about $70 for the program. However I found the Standard Edition of Documents-To-Go 4.0 on the Palm site today for $30. I'm not sure if it they will offer it for your device though because you did not purchase the Zire from them. You can check outthe extras page of the Zire area on the Palm homepage. (http://www.palm.com/us/products/handhelds/zire/extras.epl). Hope that helps.
