MnetBook "Personality" Modules...for sale

For those of you who havn't noticed, www.sitashop.com is selling upgrade "personality" modules for MnetBooks or Series 7. They are charging $220, but say you'll get back $105 when you send them your original module.

I am hestitant as to whether I really want one or not - my original MnetBook OS seems to be functioning fine.

Apart from getting Opera 5.14 and NetstatRF in 'ROM', you also get the file copy bug fixed. On an Mbook if you copy a file onto an existing file with the same file name, you get an error message saying "Disk Corrupt". This annoying bug is fixed on the final release (450?) of the Netbook operating sytem.

Sita have found somebody who is able to reprogramme the Mbook personality modules. Bit expensive just to get a single flash ROM upgraded - plus you might end up paying VAT and import duty for a second time !

About time somebody over here started offering this 'service';-)
