Has anyone heard any updates on when the 7135 will be available, how much it will cost, or what wireless service providers will support it?
I saw initial reviews that mentioned an estimated $500 - $600 price range.
I'll already signed up for the notification of when it becomes available, but haven't heard any new information about it since about a week after it was first announced.

Unfortunately it is still unknown. There seem to be more indications that it will be coming to at least Verizon in November. No real word from SprintPCS yet though. There have been rumors that it won't come until beginning of next year from them.

I heard "In time for the holidays" from a trusted source, but no more details after that(i.e. They did not specify Thanksgiving or Christmas). I've heard the previous rumors of late October/early November too, and I'm hoping that's true - I have my $500 waiting to go to Kyocera. There are rumors, however, that Kyocera was having trouble with transferring data over the 3G networks with it, and that's why it hasn't been released yet. I guess they wanted to get it right before they ship product - business done the way it's supposed to be done.

According to THIS DISCUSSION (http://www.smartphonetalk.com/cgi-bin/smarttalk/ikonboard.cgi?;act=ST;f=5;t=209) the Kyo7135 has failed Verizon testing. However, many sources indicate that Kyocera and Verizon are working closely to resolve the issues and it is still being pushed for a 2002 release - probably middle of November.
Sources indicate that Sprint will probably release the 7135 for its network in early 2003, but some reports (http://www.smartphonesource.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3884) claim it may be before Christmas 2002.
Hope you find this helpful.
Thanks. Very interesting info and a lot of stuff that looks worth following up on.
