Magellan GPS question.

I remember seeing a few of you are using a Magellan GPS companion with your Z71. Do any of you have the 12V car adapter, too? Does this charge the Z71 during use, or just supply power to the gps unit?

I have a 12 V car adapter that I pieced together from Radio Shack and it does indeed charge the Zire as well as power the Magellan. :D

Yep, Radio Shack has the deal. Their power supplies have replacable power tips. I bought one with "your choice of a free power tip" for a princely $5.99. The Companion takes tip "H". Extra tips go for $4.50. Does anybody have a cheap replacement for the $40.00 mount kit? A bit pricey I'd say.
