Help! New member

Hi I've just joined this forum as I just got a new series 5mx after many happy years with my old series 5. The problem I have is that every time I switch the back light on I get a slight buzzing sound whether the sound is switched on or off. I phoned Psion and they said this was normal and not a fault.
I never had the buzzing sound off my old series 5 (may it rest in peace)
So my questions are...

1) Is it a fault?
2) Is there anything I can do about it?
3) Have others experienced this problem?

Generally, the 5mx makes less of a 'buzz' than the S5 which, on some machines, was really quite noticeable. However, some 5mx devices still seem to buzz more loudly than others. Mine does buzz, but I have to hold it close to my ear to hear it.

There isn't anything you can do about it but if the backlight is faulty (possibly fiickering too) you should either have the machine exchanged or send it in to Psion for repair.

Mine also buzzes and can quite clearly be heard at night or if it resonably quiet!!!
