PPC 2003 & PC Money 2001

1945 & MS Money 2001
is there anyway I can use the PC(desktop) version of MS 2001 ( which I have) & MS 2003 ( or any version of ppc $) on the 1945. I really do not want to have to buy the new desk top version of MS $. I had a really nice set up with my old 3955 & MS $ & 2001 for the PC. Thanks in advance. BTW, I got the 2003 version on the 1945, but it was really crippled, it couldn't delete or edit ( no tap & hold) I then removed it from the ppc.

so, everyone who wants to use the new MS $ for the PPC is (with synching) willing to buy the desktop version of MS $ 2004.

This raises an interesting question. I have read the MS Money 2004 box, and it still says in order to use Money for Pocket PC, you need a PPC operating PPC 2002. This would leave me to believe that even if u purchase the MS Money 2004 product that it will still be incompatible w/ PPC 2003 systems. Have u heard otherwise? I, too, had used MS Money until I purchased an IPaq which has the new PPC 2003 (aka windows mobile) and now I cannot use mu MS MOney 2003

first of all MS really needs to name their products much much better. it is so confusing with the different years on their products,(which do not actually match the year of production) but when you are dealing with 3 different products, which all have a year to denote their age or pedigree it gets really confusing. The newest MS $ desktop for 2003 is now called 2004, it is compatable with MS PPC $ 2002 for the PPC OS 2003, however, if you want to use everything to synch, they have patches, in which I believe they have someone from the cryptology dept. of the local university to come & explain it all to you.

anyhoo, went & bought MS$ for PC 2004 (Standard), yesterday, it all worked beautifully, it even has MS $ for PPC on the cd.


Today, however, it all went pear shaped, the desktop wont let me delete or edit any entries, & the PPC money has decided to totally ignore the desktop version. I have a business & all my transactions are in there, I just take the info. from Quick Books & enter it there so I can have the info. with me on the go.

anyway, we shall see what tomorrow brings

JEEZ! Hey, I have a better idea....I'm going to buy Quicken for PC & Pocket Quicken for the PPC. Hopefully they both work, it would certainly be less confusing. It boggles the mind how Bill Gates got so darn rich! Good job Microsoft!:confused:
