I JUST bought my NR70V last month, and now the NX70V comes out, and I am insanely jealous. The NX has to be the greatest PDA I have yet to see. I want it, but I don't need TWO of the craziest PDA's in the world. Whats a guy to do?

I've had a NR70V for about 4 months and purchaced it at Best Buy with the extended warrenty. When the new NX's hit the shelves and the NR's are out of the picture mine will delelop some sort of "Problem" and I will return it for "Guess What"?? ;) :D :p

Just wait till Christmas, and boy will I be surprised if Sony doesnt come out with another new model, and it could be crazier than both NR70V and NX70V combined! ;)

According to sony's web page, my NR70V is now a DISCONTINUED handheld. Will they still make accesories for it though? Should I just give up and buy the new one, or move out into the country side by myself and live as a hermit, with a Palm III but only 4 batteries?

Yes, wait till Christmas and you will see a new model. Perhaps with the swivel rotating horizontally so the screen becomes wide plus the keyboard gets much practical to use.

Not a bad idea. With the grafitty at one corner... or either side depending on right or left handwriters.

slim is easier to hold on the palm than wide unless you have really big hands or uses the pda on a table top.

The only way to hold a wide pda with one hand is with thumb on the hinges and the other fingers holding up the palm when it is open. When it is closed, you're likkely to hold the palm with the hand in some-kind of C to grip top and bottom in order to not touch the screen. Not very comfortable over a stretch of time.

Hello. I think I saw further up in the post that someone wanted to know if there will be accessories for the NR70-v when the new NX ones come out because the NR70 is being discontinued. Well I pretty sure but not certain that the sony uses a Palm Universal Connection Port. Which basically all the middle and high end palms have these days and so until palm bring out a new connection port there will be accessories not nesseccarialy made for the NR70v but nevertheless they will work on the NR70v. (in other words accessories for the Palm M125 and M515 etc will fit onto the sony)

If you go to Best Buy with your extended warranty and if your current one develops a "problem:".. you will be out of luck for awhile. As long as they have supplies of the NR70V.. that is what you will get. For example, the I have a 615 that has been dicontinued for the 665. They still have allot of 615's. So, I can't get a 615 with my extended warranty til the well runs dry, then I think mine may have some sort of "glicth":):o :o

Well caveman I just bought my NR60 12 days ago and then saw the NX60. I looked down at it (NR60) and said you're going back, called an got a RA # from Sony and off it went next day air. Now I have to wait a max of 60 days to have my acct. credited, hopefully I can wait and see what if any new models show up.

Umm, just curious, nr60? I'm assuming that was a typo, because anybody who owns anything better than an t615 should know the name of their unit, or they simply don't deserve it.

Okay, now I'm frustrated ... I just went to the Sonystyle website, and they changed the login page, and now instead of asking for the order number, it asks for the order "confirmation" number. If I enter my order number and email address, it can't find my order! :(

I also tried logging into the site using the email address and username I gave them when I placed my order, and they don't seem to have a record of my order! AAAaaauuuuggghhh! It must be halloween, because this is really scary ...

Anyone else having this problem? I sent off an email to orderhelp@sonystyle.com, and I will be giving them a call in the morning as well. I hope this won't delay my order ...

Whew! I got the email just now, that they shipped my NX70V on the 24th, scheduled to deliver on the 29th ...

Now I can sleep ... :)
